Job Description
As a Junior Family Law Associate you will:
Manage a varied family law case load under the supervision and guidance of Senior
Associates and our Certified Family Law Specialist
Manage client day-to-day communications
Appear in court and represent clients at conferences and motions
Assist with and participate in questioning and trials
Collaborate with Senior Associates and Law Clerks on complex files
Draft pleadings, agreements, affidavits, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda
As a Family Law Associate you will:
Manage a varied family law case load both independently and as part of a team on complex litigation files
Appear in court and represent clients at conferences, motions, questioning and trials, independently and as part of a team
Collaborate with all Associates and Law Clerks on complex files, as well as with our Certified Specialist in Family Law
Draft and delegate complex pleadings, agreements, affidavits, and other legal documents
Conduct, review and delegate legal research and prepare detailed memoranda
Qualifications
LLB or JD
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
1-4 years experience for Junior Family Law Associate
5-7 years experience for Family Law Associate
Key Skills

High degree of professionalism and discretion
Strong time management and organizational abilities
