Job Description

As a Senior Family Law Clerk you will play a key role in supporting our lawyers and ensuring seamless file management. You will handle substantive legal work, maintain client communications, and contribute to the success of our fast-paced family law practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing family law files from start to finish

  • Day-to-day contact with clients

  • Preparing affidavits, correspondence, calculations, briefs, and bundles

  • Assisting and attending on questioning and trials

  • Coordinating with clients, lawyers, opposing counsel, and court staff

  • Ensure timelines and court deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Family Law Clerk in Ontario

Key Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Family Law Rules, procedures, and forms Proficiency with court filings through the Justice Services Ontario (JSO) and CaseCentre (formerly CaseLines)

  • Familiarity with software such as DivorceMate, Kofax or Adobe Acrobat, Clio, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong communication and good organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced files and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment

  • Commitment to client service, confidentiality, and professional integrity

  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team environment
